Weekday Meetings
Church life can be very busy with lots of activities. The church has a facility that can add to local amenities and Denmead Baptist Church is pleased to be able to offer a number of activities for the benefit of the community as well as its own members. If you would like more details about any of these activities please do Contact Us.

Tuesday
SD Club
On the second Tuesday of each month (6.30-8.00pm) we run a club night for Junior School age children (ages 7/8-11). With an emphasis on fun, food and friendship the evening also includes Christian input.
Celebration & Song
On the third Tuesday of each month at 2.30pm a one hour gathering of predominantly older people sing hymns and enjoy a short talk. This is followed by a cup of tea and a slice of cake whilst catching up with old friends - or possibly making new ones!
Meetings
Tuesday evenings (and Thursday below) are the regular 'meetings' evening with various Deacons meetings, Church meetings, Youth Forum meetings, etc. By holding our meetings on two nights in the week we can be free the rest of the week to have a life outside of church ...
Tuesday Evening House Group
This group came together during Alpha in 2005 and have been growing in their understanding of their faith and how this particular church works. Moving on with new leadership this group is looking to grow deeper and wider in their faith.
Wednesday
Noah's Ark - Parent/Carer and Toddler Groups
Each week from 10.00-11.30am and 1.30-3.00pm we run a parent/carer and toddler group. The main emphasis is on playing and sometimes the children get a look in! Using craft and stories we also pick out important themes from the Christian calendar. We enjoy the singing time very much!!
House-Groups
Two house-groups meet on a Wednesday evening. Both provide opportunities for worship, learning, prayer and fun - and often involve food!
One group is aimed at people who have been Christians for some time and the other is aimed at people who have recently become Christians or have returned to the church after a period of absence. For more details or to arrange contact with a house-group leader please call or e-mail Danny through the Contact Us page.
Thursday
Noah's Ark - Parent/Carer and Toddler Groups
Due to the huge success of our Wednesday groups and some new volunteers to help run it, we have been able to expand our provision of Noahs Ark! It runs each week from 10.00-11.30am Again the main emphasis is on playing(!) and we use craft and stories to pick out important themes from the Christian calendar. This is also a good time to meet up with other parents/carers and have an adult conversation!
Meetings
Thursday evenings (and Tuesday above) are an alternative regular 'meetings' evening with various Deacons meetings, Church meetings, Youth Forum meetings, etc. By holding our meetings on two nights in the week we can be free the rest of the week to have a life outside of church ...
Friday
Worship Team Practice
Our musicians and singers usually meet on a Friday evening (7.30-9.00pm) to practice songs and hymns used for our worship. This is a good opportunity for new or young musicians and singers to learn songs before taking the next step and getting involved on a Sunday morning or evening.
Saturday
The Sabbath is usually a day of rest - unless we are meeting for fun or work! Throughout the year we hold a variety of social events and working days - please see the 'This month...' pages for more details of things happening soon.
