Ministery to Men

Another new initiative in 2007 has been the launch of our Ministry to Men.  The ethos is simple - having fun, building relationships, and sharing real-life faith.

An evening of high expectations was certainly delivered!  6 lane slot-car mayhem with crashes on just about every corner. 

6 teams of 3 went head to head in a range of different vehicles - from the super fast racing cars to the road-hugging minis to the white van and caravan combo! 

 

 

 

After 2 hours of non-stop action the team members went head-to-head to find the best drivers of the night.  Tears and recriminations followed as grown men were cast aside by the pitiless track - only 6 could reach the final - and there could only be 1 winner! 

Nick was a worthy winner, with David in second place and Tim in third.  The rest - came away with nothing but good memories!

 

 

 

 

 

Here Mark demonstrates that spirituality and slot-cars do go together - although we never quite got an answer to what he was praying for!

 

 

Previous Events

Buggy Racing - June 2007

Our first event was an evening of mud, mayhem, and wheel spins!  All was going well with time trials - until it started to rain and the track became really slippery.  The enduring sight will be the Minister wheel spinning round in circles - and coming last!  The evening was topped off with a meal at a local pub.
