About Us

 Congregation

We are a diverse collection of about 100 adult

Christian believers and 25 children & young people

gathered from the local communities. 

Few of us have a Baptist background - instead we

share backgrounds as diverse as Anglican, Baptist,

 Brethren, Catholic, Methodist, and Pentecostal -

and no-church background at all!  Yet we have a

common identity and unity at Denmead Baptist

Church, which has  become a spiritual home for us. 

 We try to be friendly  and welcoming - but that is

something you will have to assess for yourself!

 Membership

  Membership in a Baptist Church is an important sign of

  commitment to the local body of believers and  

  the Lordship of Christ.  We currently have a

  Membership of about 60 members who meet bi-monthly

  to pray and discuss things in the life of the church -

  things that affect us, the local community and our

national and international partners.

Whilst believer's baptism is not compulsory for membership, the majority of our members wil

l have chosen to follow Jesus through the waters of baptism as a mark of 'dying with Christ

and rising with Christ'.
